The only thing that tops the home and the location are the hosts, Vickie and Richard! They are so thoughtful and welcoming and have everything down to the little detail that made our stay extra special. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful place to stay that has tons of amenities, my wife and I highly recommend Vickie and Richard's home.

My boyfriend and I can't stop talking about how lovely the place -- and the hosts -- were here. The house was so peaceful, the room comfortable, and the tasty treats Vickie whipped up were just delish. They gave us great recommendations and even a lift to town for our bike ride home. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Vickie and Richard's place is a true bed and breakfast. The description/pictures don't do it justice. The home is beautiful and impeccably clean and the property is stunning. The amenities and the service exceeded all of our expectations. Vickie & Richard are incredibly generous and kind. They made us feel at home and made our experience in North Virginia unforgettable!

It Doesn't Get Better Than This

This was our second time visiting Vickie and Richard and folks, it doesn't get better than this. Once again the hospitality here is 5 stars and so relaxing.

My partner and I wanted an evening out of the city to just relax and enjoy some quiet. We got exactly what we were seeking. Bubble bath, snacks, comfy bed, delicious breakfast, time to snuggle and watch our favorite college football team, wine, a bonfire, and they even recorded a Hallmark movie I wanted to watch so I could enjoy the fire and wrap the night with the movie.

We will be back again!

The Restoration Bed and Breakfast is like nothing you have experienced in the DC area. This couple has opened up their hearts and home to travelers from around the region to experience a fantastic, and affordable getaway.

It is both a romantic spot for the weekends or a beautiful location to telework during the week when you need inspiration. Vickie and Richard are kind and friendly. Vickie even brought us oatmeal raisin cookies (the best I've ever had) as we sat by their gorgeous fire pit. I couldn't give a better recommendation!

Smores Near a Fire

Words do not do this place or host justice! Much nicer and friendlier than a 5-star hotel. Their level of service and attention will make you never stay at a hotel again. That's how great it was. If it's available, then book it! I guarantee you will not be disappointed. The house is like a mansion and the grounds are beautiful. We will be back the next 2 springs for our nephew's graduations even though it's over one hour away! Thanks again for a PERFECT 5 STAR stay.

We Didn't Want To Leave

We had a great time with Vickie and Richard! The house and surrounding land provide such a great relaxing environment, we didn't want to leave! They do such a great job with communicating before arrival and greeted us with the wine, cheese, snacks, and conversation when we got there. We were focused more on just relaxing and we did just that.

I get up early, so we had coffee waiting outside the door that I took outside to enjoy the peace and quiet of the morning. Breakfast was awesome, Vickie went above and beyond making several gluten-free dishes and snacks! It's hard to make GF good, but it seemed to be natural for her. We went into Purcellville a bit and just wanted to relax by the pool, which we did for several hours. Dinner at a local BBQ joint and back to the house for wine, bonfire and smores! Great way to end the day and stay. If you need a quick getaway to visit some wineries or just a place to relax and sit by the pool, this is a great place!

Granola and fruit in a cup at a breakfast setting

We stayed for a biking trip on the LoCo Ale Trail with friends. We had read great reviews online and the home and hosts, Vickie and Richard, are truly wonderful! They were flexible with our arrival time and were easy to communicate with regarding our plans. They also gave us great tips for dining, events, and wineries to visit.

We were greeted with offers of coffee since it was morning and they had wine, cheese, and snacks when we returned after biking. They also had a fire in the fire pit with freshly baked cookies in the evening for us. It was great having coffee and bread or muffins by your door in the morning before a fabulous breakfast in the dining room. The house is beautiful with lots of gathering spots. The downstairs has a bar and game rooms with a pub feel. The bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely. Everything was great!

Fabulous Evening Away From The City

My friend and I stayed at Vickie and Richard's beautiful home for one night while in the area for an event. They were very good about being in touch leading up to our stay and were very flexible when it came to discussing check-in/out times. They greeted us with huge smiles and Richard even poured us wine from a nearby vineyard! Vickie and Richard are incredibly warm and hospitable, truly hosts who care about guest comfort.

The room was clean and beautifully decorated. We watched the sunset with wine on the patio looking over rolling hills, and woke up to enjoy five-star breakfast courtesy of Vickie. We cannot thank them enough for the fabulous evening away from the city! We are already looking forward to our next stay.

You must stay here! You will not be disappointed. The hosts are warm and thoughtful. Their attention to detail is beyond measure. The rooms are exquisite and well appointed - better than my own home. My husband and I felt at home thanks to Richard and Vickie's kind reception. We enjoyed socializing with these world travelers and enjoyed lots of privacy too.

Vickie and Richard are dear people who practice hospitality like none other. We would give them 10 stars if we could. In our years of travel, we haven't ever felt so "at home" or cared for like these beautiful people managed to do for us. We were in the area to attend to a very sad occasion yet staying here made the burden less... Hebrews 13:1-2 says, "Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." We cannot thank you enough, Vickie and Richard.

We had a wonderful 32nd wedding anniversary in this beautiful home. We were treated like old friends who were coming back for a visit. The accommodations were beyond any bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. Vickie has trained under some of the top chefs in the country, so breakfast was amazing. Their home is filled with family portraits that reflect their fascinating life and love for family and country. Thank you, Vickie and Richard, for sharing your home and stories of your life. We shall return. Blessings to you and your family during this holiday season.

Stunning Home and Five-Star Service

Beyond the amazing natural beauty and their inviting and impeccably appointed home, Vickie and Richard are the epitomai of welcoming hosts. By the end of your stay, you will consider them friends. Their stunning home and their five-star service will guarantee your visit becomes a cherished memory... Dad and I are still adjusting to not having our nightly warm cookie service!

My wife and I spent a night here when attending a wedding. We were not prepared for how incredibly nice everything was. The house is absolutely gorgeous, and Vickie and Richard are wonderful hosts. When we arrived we were provided a snack of cheese, crackers, fruit, and wine. The room had all the comforts we needed -- soaps, shampoo, towels, etc. -- and everything was incredibly clean and inviting. The breakfast was fantastic! Finally, the area itself could not be more peaceful and scenic. Our only regret is that we only spent one night. We would definitely love to visit again!
-- Travis, The Washington Room

We wish we could give more than 5 stars! Every single aspect of Vickie and Richard's home was perfect. Communication and check-in were very smooth, the room and amenities provided were more than expected, and the hospitality of both Vickie and Richard made us feel right at home. They gave us winery and restaurant suggestions, prepared their hot tub for us, and topped the evening off with a bonfire. We could not be happier with how our stay went. Thanks, Vickie and Richard!

Dining Room with Table and Chairs

Vickie and Richard were the perfect hosts! This was our first time at a B&B and we could not have chosen a more perfect home to stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed. Vickie and Richard ensured all of our needs were met and provided us with insight on things to do in Leesburg and suggestions on routes and shops to see up in the mountains.

I cannot say enough about the delicious breakfast! Coffee and pastries and fruit were at our door early at 6:30, followed by a full amazing breakfast later in the morning. Her French toast is to die for!! I don't want to forget to mention the comfortable beds! We had such a peaceful night's sleep. I highly recommend Restoration Bed and Breakfast to anyone looking for the perfect stay in Leesburg, VA. Thank you so much, Vickie and Richard!”
